PM Oli to Share Stage with Biplav lifting ban imposed


Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been scheduled to share stage with Netra Bikram Chand Biplav today after lifting a ban imposed on his group.

After a three points agreement signed between the leaders of both sides , the government on Thursday lifted a ban on activities of the Netra Bikram Chand- led Communist Party of Nepal.

After Cabinet endorsement for the three point agreement signed between Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Prakand spokesperson of Biplav led Communist Party of Nepal ealier on Thursday PM Oli is to share stage at 2 pm toady.

The government had imposed the ban on Biplav led parties activities in March 2019 following a couple of blast in the Capital in which one person had died.

The signed  agreement says  that the outfit will run all its political activities and let its issues be addressed  through dialogue, carry out all political activities in a peaceful manner and the government, in return, will lift the ban imposed on the party’s activities.

It is expected that PM Oli and Biplav will clarify the issues and intension hidden behind the agreement in the programme organized today.

According to a government official, cases against Biplav’s cadres will be withdrawn after consultations with various government agencies. Over 2,000 leaders and carders from the group face various charges in almost 60 districts. Some of them are spending days in prison.

According the official government agencies will collect the numbers of cases and evaluate their nature. Those will be recommended to the Cabinet. The Cabinet will decided the cases based on political grounds. Finally the Office of the Attorney General and the district attorney will write to the respective district courts, district administration offices, and the district police.

Almost a dozen of cadres have lost their lives. Dhramendra Bastola, Hemantprakash Oli like leaders and workers are spending live in different jails of country. Hundreds of leaders and works managed their freedom offering surrender before government.

Bringing Biplav in front PM Oli has showing his final cards in the political game with Pushpakamal Dahal Prachand and Madhav Kumar Nepal led Communist Party of Nepal. Losing game Oli tries to show extra cards of the game like CK Raut and  Biplav.

Political analysts say perhaps Oli is at end his political carrier. He will decode his final bet with Biplav.
