Kathmandu. Act of honoring Indian Army Chief MM Naravane by the Government of Nepal has been termed as a condemnable.
Almost a group of 94 writers, professors, artists and cultural activists has issued a joint press release urging government to cancel the upcoming visit of Naravane.
They argued that the person like Narvane who insulted Nepal would have begged pardon for his speech delivered earlier about revised political map endorsed by the parliament of Nepal before receiving honor in Nepal by the President of Nepal. Issuing the press release ,ninety four writers, professors, artists and cultural activists have jointly urged government of Nepal to abolish the tradition of honoring Indian Army Chief as the Nepali Army Chief and recruitment of Nepali youth as Gorkha regiment of India.
The release is read as ” Nepal Government stepped back by barring new school text books published with revised political map of Nepal instead of ensuring rights of Nepali people on the territory of Kalapani, Lipulake and Limpiyadhura which was captured forcefully by India. More than that sovereignty of Nepal being exchanged for the enjoying power under cover of the deceiving nationalist act of government producing the old national seal at the time of message to people on the occasion of Dashain by Prime Minister of Nepal is being experienced.”
The release is further read as “Nepal Government has been seen kneeling down before the arrogant Indian leadership who refused to accept the report for solving bilateral issues prepared by the EPG. Ignoring the prestige of the post Prime Minister of Nepal met mysteriously with the Chief of RAW, an intelligence wing of India, Samant Goel and ready to welcome Naravane who insulted Nepal and Nepali people that are the humiliating act of Prime Minister.”
In the release they urged the government of Nepal not to welcome Naravane before begging his detestable remarks about Nepal and Nepal. And also abolish the tradition of honoring Indian Army Chief as the Army Chief of Nepal and recruitment of Nepal youth in Gorkha regiments of India.
